I've had this charger for a few weeks now and it's a breeze to use and does everything it says on the tin.Price Value Quality
I've got it hooked up to a Fusion 200W Twin Output 15A Power Supply (a reminder you do need a separate power supply for this charger) and have had no problems charging/balancing/discharging 2s, 3s and 4s LiPo's.
My only reservation is the separate balance port/board which doesn't look very sturdy, only time will tell how long it will last but it is easily replaced if i ever need to.
Also worth mentioning the excellent service received from Overlander. When i phoned with a query they were only too happy to help. Thanks (Posted on 22/01/2012) - My charger went up in smoke when I tried to discharge a 7.4v LiPo Review by RCtechnic

The charger charged my battery just fine until I started discharging with another battery. The charger couldn't dissipate the heat resulting from the discharge process. The charger is supposed to have an internal cut-off when the temperature goes above 80 deg. Obviously this didn't happen so the charger continued getting hotter until one of the internal components broke down and became a diode connection shorting the discharging battery. This resulted in the battery discharging extremely fast resulting in one of the charger's components going up in smoke. My suggetion is that the charger is not capable of the 150W power dissipation specified. At the time of the incident only about 26W was being dissipated in the charger (7.4v @ 3.5A). I sent an email notifing of the problem but received no reply.Price Value Quality

As for your charger, I'm sorry to hear about this happening. If you want to return it for us to check over we'd be happy to do so. We thoroughly test all of our chargers as we realise they are a big investment to our customers so I would hope this fault is a one off.
